Toxicological evaluation are more and more developing towards in silico methods, which ensure speed, cost-effectiveness and automatisms during the process of collection of toxicological data. The new, freely available SpheraCosmolife tool has the ambitious goal to increase and promote the use of in silico methods to carry out the risk assessment of the ingredients used in cosmetic formulations.

SpheraCosmolife is able to offer simultaneously an estimation of the hazard and a detailed investigation of the exposure scenarios, providing a "complete" risk assessment of cosmetic ingredients in one click, offering a novel perspective in the field of cosmetics safety assessment.

The aim of this webinar is to promote among the cosmetic companies the use of SpheraCosmolife, showing the practical use of the tool and its application on the real case studies.

Moreover, in this webinar, we are going to present ToxEraser, a tool specifically developed for the substitution of cosmetic ingredients considering both chemical structure and cosmetic function.

Furthermore we are going to present SpheraFCM, a tool designed for food contact materials, and its possible application in cosmetic industry

SpheraCosmolife, ToxEraser and SpheraFCM have been developed within the EC funded LIFE project LIFE-VERMEER coordinated by Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche "Mario Negri" and with Angel Consulting as one of the beneficiary partner.
